This is one of my most favorite Linky Parties ever!
Create-Teach-Share is hosting a Post-it Linky Party. Join in and add your favorite idea for using Post-its in your classroom.
I ask my students to write one important event from a story we are reading on a Post-it. We put all the events in the middle of the table. Each student takes a turn pulling one event from the pile and putting it in the correct order. What a fun way to review the sequence of events!
Thanks so much for joining my post-it party! I never thought to use them for sequencing. Thanks for the great idea!!!

Kids find a word in the story that they aren't sure what it is. They write what they think it is, or draw a picture of what they think it is on the post its. Then we discuss them in group time. I ask all students to bring in one pad of post it's each year as part of our supplies. Wal-mart sells them for a dollar pack for the post it brand.
ReplyDeleteFor math we use them to post data and find the middle or median numbers. For example, each child counts their pockets and writes it on a post it. Or we use it for their heights, too.
