Friendly Letter Freebie

Here is a quick freebie on friendly letters. It includes a poster of a penguin with the parts of a letter, a smaller version of the poster, a short list of books to use when teaching friendly letters, and labels for students to move around on a large letter. Please leave a comment if you download. Have a great weekend!

  1. Love it! We are embarking on our year long journey of letter writing. I love the books you listed. There are a couple of new Dear Mrs. LaRue books. We also do kinestic movements where we stand and point to the parts of the letter like it is our body. Our visual is "the letter lady."

  2. Thank you! I love it. I have a powerpoint made by a student that says all this, but without the penguin. We also have a little person that we put over a sheet for the friendly letter that shows this. I'd be happy to share the powerpoint ... just send me an e-mail if you're interested.
