Campout Race for Expanded Form -- Freebie

To find out, students must draw cards for the super heroes and count the money on the cards. The hero with the most money for that round wins and gets both cards.

Random Robots -- Long O Words -- Freebie

Your students will have fun distinguishing between long and short vowel sounds with this card game. Students will shuffle the deck of cards. They take turns drawing a card form the pile. They get to keep the card if it has a long O vowel sound. If they draw a Random Robot card, they have to put all their cards back in the pile.

Multiple Meaning Cookout -- Freebie

Students must work with multiple meaning words in order to meet both the second and third grade Common Core Standards.

Use this as either a whole group activity or in a literacy learning station. For whole group work, place the word cards on different desks or other places around the room. Hand definition cards out to students and get them to find their matching definitions, then run to the correct word card.

Year End Vocabulary -- Freebie

We have really focused on learning strategies to improve our vocabulary this year. I am interested in what my kids have learned using these strategies, so I'm giving them this worksheet. They will pick the favorite word they learned this year and give me synonyms, antonyms, a sentence using the word and a picture illustrating the word.
