OK.....We've worked hard on using apostrophes to form possessives. Now my kiddos are wanting to call contractions possessive nouns. So it's back to the drawing board! It seems like I move one step ahead and two steps back every day. SIGH.

I introduced possessives today and told the students I'd better not start seeing apostrophes every time a word ended in -s! Now I know what to watch out for when we get to contractions!

Thank you!! Just a question, did you mean to have did you mean to have cards 14, 15, 19 and 20 as contractions or should they have been the two words? In looking at the answer key it looked as if they should have been the two words.

Delete14, 15, 19 and 20 are already contractions. I think you need to fix it so that they are two words. (darn that auto correct!) :)
