I'm a little later posting today than usual. I didn't get anything scheduled last night because both of my kids are home from college. That's my first item on my Thankful List!
Here is the companion to the Candy Jar Addition.
Students choose two pieces of candy, arrange them so that they make a subtraction expression, and solve the problem.

Thank you for the candy jar it comes at a perfect time we need lots more practice on subtraction and the kids think they are just playing a game. Love it. Enjoy your time with your children home from college they seem to grow up so fast.

Thank you for the candy jar. I have a stupid question...how do the cards work? Do the candies represent certain numbers?

DeleteNot a stupid question at all! It might be hard to figure out without printing out the activity. THere are two types of cards. The kiddos draw two cards with candy only. They find the matching cards with numbers and candy to subtract.
